BIBLE READING: JOHN 15:3-7
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
MESSAGE:
In today’s Bible reading, Jesus introduced Himself as the Vine. If you read through the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), you will discover that Jesus introduced Himself differently at different times. He once said that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). In John 10:9, He also said that He is the Door. While on the earth, Jesus knew who He was and lived what He claimed to be.
It is sad that some people claim to be children of God, yet they do not act like God in any way. For instance, Jesus said that He is the true Vine, and we are the branches. Should there be any difference between the branch and the Vine? The answer is No! Some so-called children of God are, however, far from Jesus. If a fellow calls himself or herself a child of God but still fornicates, lies, gossips, fights, keeps grudges, et cetera, he or she does not look like our heavenly Father.
My dear child, you can look like Jesus when you study your Bible regularly and spend quality time to pray and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
KEY POINT:
You can only resemble Jesus when you spend time with Him.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:

HYMN 44 – Deeper, Deeper In The Love Of Jesus
1 Deeper, Deeper In The Love Of Jesus
Daily Let Me Go;

And Higher Evry Day,
And Wiser, Blessed, Lord,
In Thy Precious, Holy Word
2 Deeper, Deeper! Blessed Holy Spirit,
Take Me Deeper Still,
Till My Life Is Wholly Lost In Jesus,
And His Perfect Will.
3 Deeper, Deeper! Tho’ lt Cost Hard Trials,
Deeper Let Me Go!
Rooted In The Holy Love Of Jesus,
Let Me Fruitful Grow.
4 Deeper, Higher, Ev’ry Day In Jesus,
Till All Conflict Past,
Finds Me Conqu’ror, And In His Own Image
Perfected At Last.
