SCRIPTURE: And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Deuteronomy 28:1–2
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Word of God is the custodian of the Blessing of God.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
Our anchor Scripture shows us the connection between the Word of God and the Blessing of God. It makes it clear that when you hearken diligently to the Voice of the Lord, observe and do His commandments, His blessings will come upon you and overtake you. In other words, if you remain connected to the Word in hearing and doing it, it connects you to the blessing of God.
Revelation 1:3 makes it even more direct: Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein.
There is blessing in being connected to His Word—the blessing of hearing God through His Word.
Psalm 1:1–3 makes us understand that the man whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on it day and night shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. He brings forth his fruit in his season, his leaf shall not wither, and whatsoever he does shall prosper.
What then is in the blessing of the Word?
In today’s study we shall be looking at one of the blessings of the Word:
The blessing of peace (Psalm 85:8).
Isaiah 48:17–18 promises us that when we hearken to God’s commandments or Word, our peace shall be like a river.
Peace like a river is contained in the Word. The peace of God that passes understanding is what you cannot buy. It is what you cannot get anywhere else apart from the Word of God.
This peace has two dimensions:
a. Peace is deliverance from crisis. Your life is not permitted to be buried in battles. It is rescue and freedom from the chaos and crises of life.
b. It is the blessing of confident assurance in life. It is stability of emotion—not agitated, not fretful, and not tensed up, but assured that no matter what happens, with God, everything is under control.
Beloved, the peace of God is contained in His Word. As you hear, receive, and obey the Word, you are connected to the blessing of peace—the peace that delivers from crisis and gives you confident assurance in life.
REMEMBER THIS: The Word of God is the custodian of the blessing of God.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Give yourself to the consistent reading and hearing of the Word of God.
- Meditate on the Word and practise what it says.
- Trust God for the peace and confident assurance that His Word brings.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word. Help me to hear, receive, meditate on, and practise Your Word. Let the peace contained in Your Word fill my heart and give me confident assurance in every situation, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
