TOPIC: A Creative Wonder (Open Heaven for Teens, 26 May 2025)

MEMORISE: But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. – Job 32:8

READ: Exodus 35:30-33

30 And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;

31 And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

32 And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

33 And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.

MESSAGE:

Today’s Bible reading tells us the story of a man called Bezaleel, whom God blessed with outstanding skills in craftsmanship. He was filled with God’s spirit and was heavily gifted in all manner of workmanship, meaning that he could function in all kinds of craft excellently because of his innovative mind. We can definitely say that Bezaleel was a creative wonder of God.

We have read in history about scientists and inventors who continuously put their creativity to use until they invented different technologies that people still use in the world today. I am particularly in awe of God when I see children and teenagers creating solutions to world problems. This makes me confident that the future is still very bright.

My dear child, you too can be an inventor in your field, whether it is science, business, arts, human relations, entertainment, et cetera, by tapping into the wealth of knowledge in the Holy Spirit. There are still many diseases that need cures, and God wants to release the solution to these diseases into the minds of ready vessels. Will you be one of those vessels?

KEY POINT:
If you can imagine it, you can do it.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
2 Samuel 9:1-11:27, John 15:1-27

HYMN 60: Most Ancient Of All Mysteries

1 Most ancient of all mysteries,
Before Thy throne we lie;
Have mercy now, most merciful,
Most holy Trinity.

2 When heav’n and earth were yet unmade,
When time was yet unknown,
Thou in Thy bliss and majesty
Didst live and love alone.

3 Thou wert not born; there was no fount
From which Thy Being flowed;
There is no end which Thou canst reach;
But Thou art simply God.

4 How wonderful creation is,
The work which Thou didst bless,
And O what then must Thou be like,
Eternal loveliness!

5 0 listen then, most pitiful,
To Thy poor creature’s heart:
It blesses Thee that Thou art God,
That Thou art what Thou art.

6 Most ancient of all mysteries,
Still at thy throne we lie;
Have mercy now, most merciful,
Most holy Trinity.
