BIBLE READING: Psalms 47:1-7
1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
5 God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
MESSAGE:
There are many great leaders in this world. However, there is Someone called the Most High, the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). He is higher than the highest (Ecclesiastes 5:8). Isaiah 66:1 says that heaven is His throne, and the earth is His footstool. According to Revelation 19:16, He is the King of kings. In modern terms, He is the President of all the presidents in the world.
The Most High God rules in the affairs of men. In Daniel 4:34-35, the king of the country, which was considered the superpower in the world at that time, confessed that the dominion of the Most High is forever. Once in a while, when an earthly leader begins to feel arrogant that he or she is in control, God will teach such a leader a lesson and show the whole world that He is still in control. This was what happened to Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:30-37. God demonstrated through the coronavirus pandemic of 2020 that despite the sophistication of the world leaders, they are powerless without Him, and therefore, they must surrender to His Lordship.
My dear child, if you find yourself in a leadership position, do not let it get into your head; always remember that God is truly in charge.
KEY POINT:
The Most High is truly in charge of everything.

HYMN 60 – Most Ancient Of All Mysteries
1 Most ancient of all mysteries,
Before Thy throne we lie;
Have mercy now, most merciful,
Most holy Trinity.
2 When heav’n and earth were yet unmade,
When time was yet unknown,
Thou in Thy bliss and majesty
Didst live and love alone.
3 Thou wert not born; there was no fount
From which Thy Being flowed;
There is no end which Thou canst reach;
But Thou art simply God.
4 How wonderful creation is,
The work which Thou didst bless,
And O what then must Thou be like,
Eternal loveliness!
5 O listen then, most pitiful,
To Thy poor creature’s heart:
It blesses Thee that Thou art God,
That Thou art what Thou art.
6 Most ancient of all mysteries,
Still at thy throne we lie;
Have mercy now, most merciful,
Most holy Trinity.
