TOPIC: You Reap What You Sow (Open Heaven for Teens, 14 February 2026)

MEMORISE: Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Galatians 6:7

BIBLE READING: Hosea 10:11-12

11 And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.

12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

MESSAGE:

The choices you make today can shape the outcome of your tomorrow. Every action, whether good or bad, has consequences, and you will ultimately reap the results of what you sow. When you plant seeds of righteousness, love, and peace, you can expect to receive God’s mercy and blessings in return. God delights in His children who invest in good deeds, kindness, and generosity, and a great harvest of blessings awaits them as a result.

Reaping what you sow goes beyond material rewards; it also applies to your relationships, attitudes, and spiritual growth. When you sow love, kindness, and honesty, you will experience the same in return. However, if you sow negativity, hatred, or selfishness, you will reap the consequences of those choices as well.

My dear child, I know that today is Valentine’s Day and some boys and girls will sow seeds of unrighteousness through fornication, lying, drunkenness, et cetera. I implore you, don’t be one of them; be intentional about sowing wisely in every area of your life. Nurture your relationship with God, and sow seeds of righteousness and good actions so that you can reap good harvests.

REFLECTION:
What kind of seeds will you sow from today?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Matthew 27:32-66, Leviticus 18-19

HYMN 17: God Sent His Son, They Called Him Jesus

1 God sent His Son, they called him Jesus,
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died, to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

Refrain:
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

2 How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride, and joy he gives;
But sweeter still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives.

3 And then one day I’ll cross the river,
I’ll fight live’s final war with pain;
And then as death gives way to victory,
I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know He lives.
