TOPIC: God Will Meet Your Needs (TREM Devotional 20 February 2026)
“But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19 (KJV)
MESSAGE
Beloved, sometimes I ask myself, what do people really want? Isn’t the ultimate goal to live a life that is pleasing to God? Or have we redefined “blessing” to mean anything that gives us temporary comfort, even if it robs us of peace?
Some things we call blessings can become burdens that steal our rest. What kind of blessing is it if you go to bed at night and cannot sleep?
As a child of God, especially as a leader or minister, you must set boundaries for yourself. Learn to trust God for your needs. If you are a pastor, resist the temptation to borrow money from your members. It is unethical and diminishes your integrity. The same God who called you is able to sustain you.
When Queen Esther said, “If I perish, I perish,” she was not only referring to facing the king. Her statement also reflects a mindset of total dependence on God, a refusal to compromise faith, even in desperate times.
As ministers, we must never lower our standards or manipulate people for personal gain. Sadly, some go as far as borrowing from their members and later refuse to pay back, spiritualizing irresponsibility by saying, “Didn’t God lead you to give it?” That is not faith, it is abuse of trust.
Such actions destroy your credibility and dishonor your calling. When you stand to preach, people will not receive your message because your testimony is tainted. They will whispper, “You see that man, he owes me, and he doesn’t want to pay. He is using his position to put me down”.
Don’t let that be your story. God is your Source. He called you; He will provide for you. Trust Him completely. He has never failed and never will.
If this Word doesn’t work, why preach it? If you don’t believe it, why teach it? The Bible says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” (Psalm 24:1 KJV). Everything belongs to Him, He can meet every need.
So, prove your faith. Live out what you preach. Stand on the Word and let God show Himself faithful in your life. He will not forsake you.
