Open Heaven 12 July 2026 TOPIC – Mighty Works
MEMORISE: Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. – Mark 9:23 (KJV)

1 And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.
2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
4 But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

Open Heaven 12 July 2026 MESSAGE
Jeremiah 32:19 tells us that the Almighty God is mighty in works. God loves doing mighty works. Unfortunately, however, in today’s Bible reading, Jesus could not do mighty works in His hometown because of the people’s unbelief. Unbelief or doubt will hinder a fellow from experiencing God’s mighty works in his or her life. When they are absent, however, the fellow’s life will reflect the mighty works of the Almighty God.

God delights in doing mighty works, and He seeks sons and daughters who will partner with Him to do them. He is on the lookout for men and women who will do greater works than the Lord Jesus Christ did while He was on earth. There is, however, the need to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ if you want to be eligible to do greater works (John 14:12).
Beloved, you don’t need to attend a seminary or attain a particular position to do mighty works; all that is required is your faith. When it was almost time for Jesus to ascend into heaven, He commissioned His disciples to preach the gospel all over the world and told them about the mighty signs that would follow them. He told them that they had the power to cast out devils, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, and lay hands on the sick (Mark 16:15-18). The only thing that qualified them to do all these was for them to believe in Him.
Child of God, God wants to do mighty works through you. He wants to use you as His battle axe to destroy the works of darkness (Jeremiah 51:20), but you must believe in Him for this to happen. It is true that He is sovereign and can do whatever He pleases, but He wants you to have faith in Him so all things can be possible for you (Mark 9:23). Have you allowed unbelief to cheat you out of the mighty works that God wants to do in you and through you? If you have, ask for His mercy today. Fill your heart with His word because hearing God’s word continually will grow your faith. Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. You must also flee from anything that will dampen your faith.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and the marvellous things He has done for others and through others, He can do for you and through you. Only believe!
Get up and work.
