TOPIC: Mirror Christ To The World (TREM Devotional 26 August 2026)
“Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” – 1 Corinthians 12:27 KJV
MESSAGE
Beloved, the church is not the building. Rather, the church is us who have the Spirit of God in us. The book of Ephesians 5:30 says, “For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.” – Ephesians 5:30 KJV
Beloved, that is who you are. So, when you go outside the church building and misbehave, you are dishonouring the body.
The book of Colossians 1:18 says, “And He is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have preeminence.” – Colossians 1:18 KJV
Here, the Bible is referring to Jesus as the head of the body. It tells us that the body is the church. Christ is the head!
So, the Head and the body cannot be separated. Christ cannot be the body, and you are living anyhow. Christ cannot be loving, and you are busy hating others. I want you to understand this concept and have the right mentality. It will help you have an entire re-orientation of the way you see yourself. You are the church.
Can you imagine how this world would be if everyone who names the name of the Lord went to their business, house, ministry, place of work, and represented Jesus?
According to the scriptures: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” – 1 Peter 2:9-10 KJV
Beloved, we are sent to mirror Christ to the world. They may never know Christ except to know Him through us.
Scripture tells us about how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power, and He went about doing good. That is what is expected of the church. We are expected to go about doing good.
