Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
God’s desire is not merely for His people to bear fruit but to bear fruit that remain. It is not enough to lead people to Christ; we must ensure that they are firmly established in the faith.
John 15:16 makes it clear that God ordained us to bring forth fruit and ensure that the fruit remains. It is like having children. Giving birth to children is important, but without properly raising and nurturing them, the purpose of childbirth stands defeated. In the same manner, soul-winning without discipleship leaves the work incomplete.
The desired outcome of soul winning is the establishment of the souls that are won. For the new convert, establishment means becoming all that God wants them to be in Christ. For the soul winner, heaven’s reward for him is connected to the abiding of the fruit that he has won. The establishment of the soul is what guarantees the fulfilment of God’s purpose for both the soul and the soul winner.
This is why Proverbs 27:23 admonishes us to know well the state of our flocks. The spiritual condition of a new believer matters because without proper follow-up, they may return to their former ways of life. Proverbs 26:11 aptly confirms this fact when it says, As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly.
Newly won souls need encouragement, guidance, and support to remain steadfast in the faith.
Every soul saved usually becomes a target of the enemy’s resistance. Satan works hard to keep people in darkness, and when they come into the light, he desperately and aggressively seeks to draw them back. This is why consistent discipleship is necessary.
Furthermore, winning souls without establishing them can harden the souls against the gospel. Some people have prayed the sinner’s prayer many times before, even shed tears while responding to the altar call, yet experienced no visible and lasting transformation. As a result, when such people hear the gospel again, they would feel they had already answered the altar call, even though their lives remain unchanged. This is why we must make disciples of them, not mere converts.
The ultimate goal of God in soul winning is fruitfulness. Mark 4:8 shows us that good ground produces fruit. Isaiah 27:6 declares that those who take root shall blossom, bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit. Our responsibility is not only to bear fruit but to ensure that our fruit remains and bears other fruit.
Beloved, our labour is only meaningful when the souls we lead to Christ stand fast in the Lord. As Paul declares in 1 Thessalonians 3:8, For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.
Let us labour not only to win souls but also to establish them so they can remain strong in Christ.

- Make a commitment to help new believers grow in prayer, the Word, and fellowship.
- Pray consistently for the establishment of souls in the faith.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for the privilege of bringing souls into Your Kingdom. Grant me the grace not only to win souls but also to establish them in the faith. Help me to be a faithful labourer who nurtures and strengthens those You bring into my care, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
