TOPIC – Hustle And Kingdom Culture (Open Heaven for Teens, 6 November 2026)

MEMORISE: A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:9

BIBLE READING: Matthew 6:19-20

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

MESSAGE:

There was a time when, every corner you turned, you would see teenagers tapping their phones repeatedly, even during church service. I later found out from some young people that it was an internet hustle’ that allowed people to make some money from tapping an application on their phones. I laughed because if that were how people got rich, many would have become billionaires by now.

In today’s world, the pursuit of riches is glorified, and many young people are seeking all means to become wealthy quickly. This is what I call the ‘hustle culture’. It is shocking that some of them even engage in kidnapping and ritual killings, but these will only lead to destruction. I recommend that you develop a Kingdom culture, if you haven’t already, as it will help you to focus on eternal rewards rather than chasing temporary gains. When you genuinely surrender your life to God, He will bless your work and even give you global ideas that you can profit from.

My dear child, while hard work is necessary, true success comes from God Himself. Hustle culture can lead to burnout, but Kingdom culture will only result in peace and help you to fulfil your purpose as you remain with God.

KEY POINT:
Hustling outside God’s will leads to burnout.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Mark 12:28-44 Deuteronomy 8-10

HYMN 70 – All To Jesus I Surrender

1 All to Jesus I surrender
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

Chorus:
I surrender all.
I surrender all:
All to Thee,
my blessed saviour
| surrender alI

2 All to Jesus | surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow;
Worldly pleasures all forsaken.
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

3 All to Jesus I surrender.
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

4 All to Jesus I surrender,
Now | feel the sacred flame
O the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory to His name!
