21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

MFM Devotional For Today 2026 MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we discussed the importance of marriage; today, we round off our discourse by examining how to fireproof your marriage. Beloved Christian brother and sister, your marriage is an express image and reflection of the final marriage between Jesus Christ, the Groom, and the bride, the Church of Christ. It is therefore important that it correctly represents that picture. As the bride of Jesus, we cannot be careless and unconcerned with things that are kingdom principles. It is only a family that prays together that stays together. This unity cannot be achieved except by putting Jesus in the picture. The only way to do this is to make Him the Lord of your life and your home. His presence keeps away the intruder, the accuser and the destroyer. Like a spiritual fireman, you can fireproof your marriage. When the devil sees the fire of God envelop your marriage and family, he flees.

In order to fireproof your marriage, certain steps must be taken. Both of you must be genuinely born again, each person having a stable relationship and deep intimacy with God. You must ensure that you are living a godly life worthy of emulation to your children, wards and others around you, so much that no negative thing can be said about your faith. Your godly character, conduct and conversation should be such that the devil will find no legal ground to accuse you before the Lord. As a result, your children will follow your steps doing what is right as they grow up (Proverbs 22:6). In addition, both of you must be intentional about praying together, fellowshipping together in the presence of God and constantly lifting up your marriage to God.
When you are doing what is expected of you as a couple, God is faithful to fulfil His promise of protection over your marriage and family, and you will be divinely kept and preserved by God’s power, in Jesus’ name.

MORNING
- Father Lord, help me and my spouse to live lives worthy of Your kingdom, in the Name of Jesus.
- Enemies of God in my life/our lives, die, in the Name of Jesus.
- O God, arise; defend Your interest in my marriage/family, in the Name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Agenda of scattering powers shall not prosper in my marriage, in the Name of Jesus.
- O God, by Your power, terminate the activities of powers seeking to steal, kill and destroy Your purpose for my marriage, in the Name of Jesus.
- Evil arrow targeted against my marriage to cause chaos and division, backfire by fire, in the Name of Jesus.
- Father Lord, glorify Yourself in my marriage, in the Name of Jesus.
