Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
The Word of God carries tremendous blessings, but those blessings must first be accessed by us before we can enjoy them. That is why 1Peter 2:2 shows us how to approach the Word: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.
How then do we access the blessings contained in the Word? There are three major keys:
- Be born again
1 Peter 2:2 says, As newborn babes… You cannot properly access the Word without first having the Life of God in you. Just as every creature understands its own language, the Word of God is understood by those who have received the Life of God.
You must be genuinely and irreversibly saved. The Word of God means little to anyone who is not yet born of God.
- Remain a baby with God
Never come to the point where you become familiar with God or His Word. There are many things you will never receive from God if you become familiar with God and His Word.
Take John 3:16, for example: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son. If you approach this verse like a baby, you can receive fresh revelation from it every day for the rest of your life.
Sometimes, we no longer receive from the Word because before someone finishes quoting a Scripture, we have already completed it in our minds. It is not wrong to know the Word but never become familiar with God or His Word.
Approach the Word as though you are reading it for the first time. You will be amazed at what you see. What you see in the Word determines what you will see in life.
- Passion for the Word, a thirst that cannot be quenched a hunger that cannot be conquered.
Apostle Peter admonished us to, …desire the sincere milk of the word.
Isaiah 55:1 says, Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters.
The water is the Word of God. Come to the Word, buy and eat. There are different dimensions of the Word: the Word that builds you, makes you strong, bold, and mature in the spirit, and the Word that moves you like new wine.
In the realm of benefiting from the Word, the currency is not money; the currency is thirst. You buy with a yearning, a hunger, a thirst, and a panting. The higher your thirst and yearning, the higher your purchasing power in the Word.
Beloved, if you desire to access the blessings contained in the Word, remain spiritually hungry. Approach God’s Word with the heart of a newborn babe, refuse familiarity, and cultivate a thirst that cannot be quenched.
REMEMBER THIS: The depth of what you receive from the Word is determined by the depth of your hunger for it.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Examine your heart and renew your hunger and thirst for the Word.
- Approach the Word afresh and always ask God for fresh revelation.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for the blessing of Your Word. Give me a fresh hunger and thirst for Your Word. Help me never to become familiar with You or Your Word, so I can receive all the blessings You have placed in it for me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
