Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE

Yesterday, we looked at the topic, “Know Your Work”, and it was established that if you know what you do and you do it well, your world will look for you. Today, we shall take it a step further by looking at How to Know Your Work.

Knowing your work is not automatic; it requires a deliberate effort. If you want to become knowledgeable and excellent at what you do, there are things you must do to get there.

So, what are the things you must do to know your work?

  1. Be interested in what you do
Put your heart where your hand is.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 says, Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.

No one can master a subject he is not interested in. If you are not interested in where you are working, it is possible you are in the wrong place doing the wrong thing. Be interested in what you do.

  1. Read and study around your work or area of life’s assignment
Whatever your life’s assignment is—ministry, real estate, law, medicine, etc., read around it. Don’t just jump into property business because everyone else is doing it; read around it.

Daniel 9:2 says, I understood by books. Daniel was a prophet, but he studied the writings of Jeremiah to gain understanding for his own prophetic ministry.

Read and study around your work.

  1. Endeavour to maintain mentoring influence and guidance
For example, if you are in real estate, find a property mentor—someone of character who is doing well in that realm—and let him mentor you. If you are aiming to be a star lawyer, find an outstanding lawyer to mentor you.

Judges 7:17 says, Look on me, and do likewise… as I do, so shall ye do.

It was Bishop Oyedepo who said, “You don’t play your role at your best without a role model.”

  1. Endeavour to learn as you go
Learn on the job. Don’t ever come to a point where you think you have finished learning. You may finish school, but you never finish learning.

In John 21:6, the disciples tried every possible means to catch fish and could not, until Jesus said, “Cast the net on the right side.” They were willing to change their approach, and the story changed.

In your journey of life, you must always be ready to change your approach if you want to end your reproach.

REMEMBER THIS: You cannot master what you are not interested in learning.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

  1. Develop genuine interest in what you do.
  2. Identify books and people that can help you grow in your assignment.
  3. Be willing to change your approach where necessary.

PRAYER: Father, give me the grace to remain a lifelong learner. Give me wisdom to change my approach whenever necessary and help me to become excellent in what You have committed into my hands, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
