Topic: Think Highly Of Yourself [13/3/2016]
Text: Romans 12:3

It is important the manner and what we think about ourselves and our ability is in consonance with what we really are, that is, what God has made us to be. It is very important that we have a very accurate mental picture of ourselves. Scripture admonishes us not “…to think more highly of ourselves than we ought to…as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” (Romans 12:3).

Notice scripture did not say you shouldn’t think highly of yourself, but it only say yoi should not think more highly than you ought to think. In other word think highly of yourself, but not more highly. So how do I think more highly of myself than I ought to? It is when you start thinking you are better than some other persons, when you start comparing yourself with and looking down on someone else as less than you. You are not better than anyone. God dealt to every man the same measure of faith. That is, we are all on equal standing in God’s eyes.

But you should think highly about yourself. Have a good mental picture of yourself. When I was younger, I struggled with my self image, but when I gave my life to Christ, Romans 12:3 changed my perception of who I am. You are the best, God’s best. God thinks highly of you, because He knows your real capacity, because He has placed you on the standard of gods. That’s is how highly God thinks of you.

Think highly of yourself and Keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear Father, thank You for thinking highly of me, and placing me on the highest standing. I have a high mental picture of myself. Your Word has shown me who I am, and I am sticking with it all through my life, in Jesus name. Amen.
