Topic: Dealing With Fear! [Tuesday March 17, 2015]

 “…Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith…” – Matthew 8:26

I am sure you would have asked yourself this question many times “Why am I afraid?” Probably when confronted with a presentation, a difficult supervisor or partner, making decisions on major steps, or even travelling. Yes! People become afraid when they travel, so it is possible to be afraid taking such journeys.

However, today, the question is not about being afraid of these things, but being afraid of your tomorrow. Some people exhibit uncertainty about tomorrow and it has affected them in many areas of their breakthrough. When they are favoured by God, they still are afraid to accept such favours because they believe they aren’t worth that extent of God’s favour.

Your fears are as a result of your unbelief. You don’t trust God enough to be in control of your future. So, whenever the devil tries one of his gimmicks, you get scared. Jesus’ disciples at a point were scared too. They said: “Master, don’t you care that we perish?” They forgot all the miracles they had seen, and even forgot He, the son of God, was right with them.

When next fear of the future creeps into your thoughts, search through scriptures on God’s plan for you, and speak your victory out loud. Say it continuously to yourself, and believe in it with all the faith you can muster, as you declare. If you believe that your future is secure in God’s hand and He is with you every step of the way, then you need not be afraid. You need to trust the power of Jesus to lead you through every phase of your life. You are secure in God!

Remain Blessed!
