MESSAGE TOPIC: SUPERNATURAL SPEED (6) – A FIGHTING SPIRIT

MESSAGE OBJECTIVE: Understanding the relationship between a fighting spirit and supernatural speed

Supernatural speed is inevitable with the spirit of a fighter

THINGS TO NOTE:

  1. Life is a battlefield, not a playground and not funfair (Eph. 6:10-18; 2Cor. 10:3-6)
  2. It takes a fighting spirit to make the most of life and experience speed in life (2Tim. 4:6-8)
  3. Even though we are involved in a fight, we have been destined to win (2Sam. 22:32:35; Ps. 18:31-34; 60:12; 108:13; 1John 4:4; 5:4)

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF THE CONNECTION BETWEEN A FIGHTING SPIRIT AND SUPERNATURAL SPEED:

  1. David (Ps. 89:19; 18:32-34)
  2. Elijah (1Kings 17:1; 18:22-24, 46)
  3. Paul the Apostle (2Tim. 4:7; 2:2-4)

It takes a fight for the aircraft to take off from the ground – it must overcome the friction of the ground to take off. Before flight can happen, thrust must overcome drag and lift must overcome weight/gravity.

The eagle can fly over 200miles/hour between 25,000 – 30,000ft above sea level. It can locate food 10,000ft away.

WHAT ARE THE VARIOUS FIGHTS THAT WE ARE ENGAGED IN?

  1. The fight to maintain faith/conviction (Hab. 2:4; 1Tim. 6:12; Jude 1:3; Luke 18:8)
  2. The fight against compromise or unrighteousness (2Tim. 3:1-6; Dan. 1:8)
    Where compromise and conformity are the order of the day, it takes a fight to maintain your stand
  3. The fight to fulfil purpose and destiny (Prov. 19:21; Phil. 3:12-14)
    It is the fight to become all that God wants you to become
    The devil is afraid of what you are to become in God
  4. The fight against the forces of evil (Eph. 6:10-12; Acts 13:10; Matt. 16:18)
    We live in a world of wickedness; you don’t need to offend anybody to come against wicked people, so you must be aware of that
    Anything that is good, there are demons that is against it
  5. The fight against human bad will and negative expectations (2Cor. 10:3-5; Acts 12:11)
    There are bad willers who wish that you don’t amount to anything
    There are those who rejoice at the bad fortune of others
  6. The fight against negative personal traits (the enemies within) (Rom. 13:11-13)
    These are certain things in yourself that are hindrances to your destiny
  7. The fight against negative emotions (Ps. 42:5; 43:5; Isa. 61:1-3; Matt. 11:3-6)
    Fights against depression, fear, anxiety, low self-worth
    There are people that are too discouraged to have any advantage in life; you must fight it!
    Depression brings destruction and damnation; when you agree to be offended, you have made yourself a prey to be eliminated

INSTRUMENTS OF VICTORY (WEAPONS OF DEFENCE):

  1. Truth (Eph. 6:13-18; Ps. 91:4; 101:7; John 8:44)
    Truth is a spiritual weapon
    Anybody who walks in lie is vulnerable to defeat (Ps. 101:7; John 8:44)
    Falsehood brings you into alignment with the devil
  2. Righteousness (Eph. 6:13-18; John 14:30; Eccl. 10:8; Prov. 28:1)
  3. Witnessing (Eph. 6:15; Luke 10:17, 19)
  4. Faith (Eph. 6:16; Hab. 2:4)
    You need your faith to be alive
  5. Salvation (Eph. 6:17; Ps. 18:35; 2Sam 22:3)
    If you are not saved, your life is not safe

INSTRUMENTS OF VICTORY (WEAPONS OF OFFENCE):

  1. The weapon of fearless courage/boldness (Ps. 27:1-6; Prov. 30:30; Phil. 1:28; Judg. 7:3)
  2. The Sword of the Spirit (Eph. 6:17; Matt. 4:4, 7)
    Every fresh revelation is a fresh fighting tool
  3. The weapon of faith (1John 5:4; Matt. 9:22; 15:28)
  4. The weapon of authoritative declaration (Ps. 18:43-45; Isa. 43:26; 44:26; Luke 21:15)
    Your mouth is not just for food; it is a weapon
  5. The weapon of prayer, especially in the Spirit, (Eph. 6:18; 2Tim. 1:6-7; 1Chron. 4:9-10; Gen. 32:24-28)
    Praying in the spirit is a weapon of spiritual warfare
    When you are confronted with situations you don’t understand, pray in a language you don’t understand
  6. The weapon of joy and praise (Neh. 8:10; Hab. 3:18-19; Prov. 24:10; Josh. 6:20; 2Chron. 20:22-24)
    Praying in the spirit is a weapon of spiritual warfare
  7. The sense of urgency (1Sam. 17:22, 48)
    You need a sense of urgency to fulfil destiny

WHAT IS THE PROFIT OF A FIGHTING SPIRIT?

  1. The help of God (Ps. 89:19-20)
  2. The anointing of God (Ps. 89:19-20)
  3. The strength of God (Isa. 28:5-6)
  4. The possession of your God-ordained inheritance (Josh. 14:10-14)
  5. The joy of victory (Ps. 20:5)
  6. Supernatural speed (1Kings 18:46)
  7. The crown of righteousness (2Tim. 4:7-8)

PRAYER:
Father, I reject the spirit of cowardice; I make demands on a fighter’s spirit, in Jesus’ Name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:

  • Every demon of cowardice and timidity that has tied your life to one spot or the other is arrested now!
  • Everyone that is facing one battle or the other, I prophesy to you today, that battle is over! Grace is released upon you.
