THE MESSAGE:
Today’s text highlights that grace is available for us (verse 24). What enables a man is the grace of God, and no man is able unless he is enabled by God (Psalm 127:1,2). Life is not only about human effort; it is even more about divine enablement. God assigns grace to every man based on our gives sinner, it is so that he may be saved (Romans 6:20-23). On the other hand, when God gives a man grace to enable him function, it may mean that such a man does not have that ability in himself (Exodus 2:10,14-15, 3:1).
Another dimension of grace is grace for good works (Hebrews 4:16) which may expose one to fire but at the same time, one will not be killed by the fire (Daniel 3:27). However, ultimately, the single reason God gives grace to anyone is so that such a person will draw others to Jesus (Daniel 3:24-25). While we ask God for grace, we must learn never to take the grace of God in vain. Night will come on every man at some point. It may not be death; it may be as a result of ageing, weakness or lack of opportunity (John 21:18). As a safeguard, we must learn to walk in covenants and always set targets.
PRAYER: Dear Father, please help me never to take Your grace for granted, Amen!
