Opposition political parties have been asked to seek else where for votes in the forth coming general elections as the west Senatorial District of Kogi State is home of the PDP and a no go area.

Yomi Awoniyi Kogi State Deputy Governor made the disclosure in an interview at the official flag off of campaign rally of the PDP held in Kabba.

Awoniyi maintained that following the remarkable achievements of President Goodluck Jonathan in the last four years, especially in giving to the state a Federal University, completion of the Lokoja Abuja road, the award and ongoing repair of Kabba Egbe Road, the establishment of a staple crop processing zone in Alape, are some reasons he maintained why the area remains a no go area for other political parties.

Awoniyi described Kogi West as home of the PDP, urged the people not to look in the direction of politicians whom he noted don’t mean well for the people.

The support of Kogi State for the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan Awoniyi explained will be total and overwhelming in the February 14 general election.

Awoniyi described Kogi State as a PDP state over the years, explained that the multitudes that graced the campaign rally was to confirm that PDP is still the preferred choice of the people for the forthcoming general election.

While noting that Kogi State has made many gains under the PDP it can count under the Jonathan’s administration, Awoniyi says he foresees another four year for President Jonathan that will lay the solid foundation for the socio economic development of the country with ripple effect on the West Senatorial District.

Awoniyi urged the people to turnout enmass and vote PDP in all elections, added that Kogi State like in the past will remain a no go area for opposition political parties in the forth coming general election and appealed that the support for the PDP should be backed by overwhelming votes it will give the President and the PDP in the coming election.

Awoniyi assured that President Jonathan who is a promise keeper, will fulfill all promises he has made for the people of Kogi State in the years ahead.

Awoniyi maintained that a vote for President Jonathan and all PDP candidates is a vote for moving the country forward, said aside the fact that the country will be better for it, Kogi State he noted will have more rewarding year’s under the Jonathan’s Presidency and the PDP.
