Topic: Be Resolute In Your Faith

Dearly Beloved, I bring you greetings in the name that is above every other name, Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God and our soon coming King. It is a blessing to be alive today. Thank God for His goodness and mercies towards us. This morning, I want to admonish us, to be resolute in our faith.

Let us examine this scripture together,

1 Corinthians 16:13 (MSG)

“Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you’ve got, be resolute.”

I’ve said it many times and it bears repetition that these are the last days, and the devil is out of the closet, knowing that his time is short. However, the good news is that as believers, victory is guaranteed already and this is why you must decide to stand against all odds.

Apostle Paul writing to the Corinthian church admonished the people to be on guard, to be at alert, and not allow themselves to be distracted by anything. Beloved, if in those days when evil was not as prevalent as we see today, Paul admonished the people on this, how much more now, seeing all that is going on in the world? We cannot take this instruction for granted, we must keep our eyes open!

These are not the days to trifle with your Christian faith. There are many things begging for your attention, and yes some of them are important, but like Mary, don’t be encumbered about many things. God’s word is needful for you – hold tight to it and live by it. You have the responsibility to receive wisdom and instructions from Him so you can live successfully as a Christian, here on earth (Joshua 1:8).

It is sad to see believers today, basing their lives on what they hear on television, or read in the newspapers or on the internet, when we have the infallible truth of God’s word, given to guide us. The Bible is very clear on how you are supposed to live your life as a child of God. The book of Proverbs is there to give you wisdom for daily living. However, it is your responsibility to search for this wisdom and apply it in your life.

“And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain” (1 Samuel 12:21 KJV). “Rather, cling tightly to the Lord your God as you have done until now.” (Joshua 23:8 NLT). It’s time to become resolute in what you believe.

I believe God for you that you will fulfill your God-ordained destiny; every seed of God’s word spoken over your life will find expression, in Jesus’ name. I will hear your testimony. I bless you!

Maranatha!
