A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: Being Privileged is a Gift [19/09/2016]

For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? 1 Corinthians 4:7. Read: Rom 12:3-5

Privilege is a right granted to an individual or a select few, bestowing an advantage not enjoyed by others. Privilege is not a right but a gift from the Lord, which needs to be appreciated by the recipient.

The position you find yourself today is a privilege and must not be used to oppress your subordinates but to help them. The wealth you’ve acquired is a privilege from God, He must be appreciated and used to help the poor who are in need. Privilege being a gift from God is to be appreciated and not to be abused through pride and arrogant attitude. Note that, the God that granted you the privilege can also withdraw it if you misuse it. The fact that you’re up today doesn’t mean you’re better than every other person, there’re many better than you, but are not privileged as you are, therefore, it is wisdom to honour the giver of such privilege (God) and use it to help His people. Remember, for every disobedience Saul, there is always an obedient David to replace him. God Almighty put you there to elevate others and not to oppress them with power and position. You met the position, it’s very certain, you would still leave the position for another to occupy. Position or power you fail to use to help people today would become obsolete tomorrow when you leave it. Stop speaking rudely to people old enough to be your father or mother simply because of your position, rather, humble yourself before all in spite of your position. Be wise.

* Before you, power and position have been existing, and after you, they will still remain. Be wise.
