The chairman of Silverbird Group and Bayelsa state senator-elect, Ben Murray Bruce, has stated that Nigerian workers must earn higher than European workers since Nigerian legislators are paid higher than European legislators.

Mr. Bruce stated this in a series of tweets following the blame game between the Federal and State Government over unpaid salary crisis rocking the nation.

He wrote: “Why cant VP, Senate President, Speaker, CJN live in their own houses saving Nigeria tens of billions annually to build houses for the poor?

If we must pay our Legislators higher than they pay European Legislators then we must pay our workers higher than they pay European workers!

Why must we pay huge furniture and other allowances to Legislators? We are collecting RICH allowance for representing POOR people!

Austerity is here and we want workers to bear the brunt. Did we ask them to enjoy the largesse when we had prosperity? #Nigeriamustchange

Never in the history of nations has so much been taken by so few from so many as Nigeria. The Nigerian elite sponge off the Nigerian masses!

Google it, a Gov who hadn’t paid workers salary for months budgeted almost 20 billion for his office. Even colonial masters won’t go that!

Homeless masses everywhere in Abuja, yet no African city has as many unoccupied mansions as Abj cuz corrupt elite build what they dont need!

Somebody tweets me asking what I’ve done for masses! God blessed me to set up businesses that employ 1000 Nigerians & give joy to millions!

In future elections, Nigerians must note that those that cant make a success of their business will make politics their successful business.

NASS must not allow FG borrow to pay salaries. We shouldn’t put future generations in bondage. Good parents eat and leave for their kids!

NASS must force FG to ban importation of rice, wheat & chicken. It drains our forex and Nigerians won’t die if we don’t eat imported rice!

The 8th NASS won’t be a rubber stamp. Not while I’m there! I will expose ANYBODY that dares approach me or my colleagues with Ghana Must Go!”
