Topic: Stir Up Your Real Might — Monday September 11, 2017.
Text: Judges 6:12-14 (NKJV)
… the Angel of the Lord … said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!” Gideon said …”…, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about … now the Lord has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.” …the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”
It is not the product that instructs the manufacturer on what it can or cannot do. It is the manufacturer that informs the product about what it can or cannot accomplish based on what the manufacturer has wired, configured or programmed into that product. Your real ability and capacity as a child of God is not what you think you have or can do and it is not what people think you have or can do. Your real ability and capacity is what God says that you have and can do. Your real might is determined by what God says about you because of what He has configured into you in Christ. In our text above, the Angel of God called Gideon a man of valor because that was what God was saying about Him; even though Gideon himself didn’t feel or look like it. Your real might is not what you feel or look like right now. Your real might rests in what God is saying about you.
When God speaks, He is not making insinuations or suggestions. He is calling things into being from within Himself. God calls things that be not as though they were (Rom.4:17), because whether they look like it or not, He has already made them so. Your own duty is to believe God and speak and act in line with what He is saying about you. By faith, rise up and start calling yourself what God is calling you. As a result, God’s divine strength for great exploits will be stirred up within you. What does God’s word say about who He has made you in Christ? That is your real might. What does God’s word say about you and your situation? That is what you are going to experience. If you believe, you will see the glory of God, John 11:40. It shall manifest, Luke 1:45.
Action Point: Boldly declare what God’s word says about you for different areas of your life. Rejoice because that is your reality right now.
