President%2BBuhari

The fracas that unfolded at the National Assembly (NASS) on 9th and 25th June, 2015 which appeared to nearly destabilise our movement for change is one that the party must learn from. As a party comprising of resilient, passionate, progressive and determined individuals, APC UK is confident that the party will come out stronger and united. The winner in this entire event will be the Nigerian people who as time passes will begin to see the effect of the change we promised.

On behalf of APC, we would kindly like to apologise for the unnecessary commotion in both chambers of the National Assembly.

Nigerians voted for change! This means an end to corruption, impunity, unemployment, insecurity, lack of electricity, lack of vision and all other lacks of basic and advanced infrastructure. Despite the happenings at the two chambers of the National Assembly, our commitment to change remains the same.

As the saying goes, ‘perseverance is the mother of all success’ thus in our chapter we say that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is the symbol of change and hope for many in Nigeria.

In spite of APC being a relatively new party with limited resources, APC booted out an incumbent non-performing President anchored on the determination of our party leaders and so many Nigerians who had had enough. It was obvious to all that, Nigerians both home and abroad were fed up with the former clueless leader because not only had he failed to fight corruption, he had given his cabal the liberty to take from the coffers as they please. Nigerians having been presented with a far better alternative and seeing quite clearly the common sense in the revolution inspired by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, knew they could not survive another term with a ‘clueless’ leader like Dr Goodluck Jonathan.

Nigerians know this New Nigeria is possible hence the reason millions of Nigerians gave President Muhammadu Buhari and Professor Yemi Osinbajo the mandate to lead Nigeria for the next 4 years.
For starters, families at home are now reporting on the improved services from NEPA/PHCN and four refineries will be back to active, productive state by the end of July 2015. At the G7 outreach programme, our President put security on the top of his wish list. On Friday, 26th June, 2015, President Buhari sacked the indicted Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
When it comes to dedication, President Buhari is not lacking. He contested to be President four times. Such a man does not have a word like failure in his dictionary. He will simply work hard till he gets it right so Nigerians can right now, banish the thought of President Buhari failing. He won’t fail us!
As we can see thus far, we have a President who has stood by his words. He is willing to take on the cabals and has not meddled in the affairs of the legislators; Nigerians can also attest to his dedication to fighting corruption and Boko Haram.

At this present time the vision of a new Nigeria supersedes any individual’s ambition. We hereby call on every member of our great party to work hard in realising the promises stated in our manifesto.

We call on all respective candidates without seeking to mentioning names to ‘call the dogs off.’ We have won the mandate to lead and we cannot deviate from this assignment now by campaigning against one another. A house divided against itself cannot stand.

Nigerians voted for change subsequently aspirants elected into leadership positions in the National Assembly should create avenues to implement the APC manifesto promises.

In saying this, we urge all members and leaders to understand that we are stronger when we are united. Let us continue working together on behalf of Nigerians.

Rome was not built in one day! Real change requires dedication, time, devotion, practice and patience.
