And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. Luke 15:13. Read: 15:11-32

A famous Evangelist preached and said there are three terminologies that describe the action of the younger son in Luke 15.

1) CONNECTION. He became a SON when he was connected to his father. He enjoyed the benefits accrued to a son, he also enjoyed his father’s affluence. He had servants at his beckons.

2) DISCONNECTION. He was referred to as a PRODIGAL SON when he was disconnected from his source – his father. After he accepted the devil’s offer, he travelled far and squandered all and began to be in want. He suffered untold hardship because of his disconnection from his father.

3) RECONNECTION. After he had suffered and all his friends deserted him in his want, he joined himself to the citizens of the city and began to eat with pigs. But when he came to himself, he took a decision to return to his father as a servant. When he finally returned to his father, he became a LOST but found SON.

When you leave your heavenly Father’s presence, you will never go far in life. The prodigal son accepted the devil’s offer and became stranded and never went far in life. Beloved, if you want to go far in life, you must reject the devil’s offer. You know what you enjoyed when you were connected with God, the sweet fellowship of the Trinity – the Godhead, but your disconnection has made you lose all of that like the prodigal son. Now, you must come back to be reconnected. He is ernestly waiting for you to accept you not as a servant but as a son. Trace your steps back.

* Father, whichever area I have been disconnected from You, please reconnect me in Jesus Mighty Name
