Memorise: “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.” – Galatians 4:6

Read: Galatians 4:4-7

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Bible In One Year: 1 Kings 6-7, Luke 23:27-38

MESSAGE:

After we became born again, God did not turn us into servants; 1 John 3:1-2 says that we have become sons of God. Believers in Christ are the only group of people who can call themselves children of their God. From the introduction of the Lord’s prayer in Matt. 6:9-13 (Our Father who art in heaven), there is no doubt that God is a Father to every believer, however, He is a Daddy to some.

Only a few people can call God Daddy. Many people call a man ‘father’, but it is only those who are close to him that will call him ‘daddy’. When you say ‘father’, it gives the impression of someone distant, but when you say ‘daddy’, it suggest one who is living and homely, with whom you can easily converse. You can cultivate your relationship with God to the point you begin to see God as your daddy who you can discuss anything with. The fellow who will can God Daddy will be God’s favourite, one that does His will and He is very pleased with. Do you prefer God as a Father or Daddy, the choice is yours.

Key Point: When you become born again, that makes God your Father. When you become His favourite, He becomes your Daddy.

Hymn 16:

1 I am so glad that our Father in heaven
Tells of His love in the book He has given;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see;
This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.

Chorus
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves me, Jesus love me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.

2 Though I forget Him and wander away,
Still He doth love me whenever I stray;
Back to His dear loving arms would I flee,
When I remember that Jesus loves me.

3 Oh, if there’s only one song I can sing,
When in His beauty I see the great King,
This shall my song in eternity be,
“Oh, what a wonder that Jesus loves me.”
