The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10. Read: John 1:1-5
The major purpose of thief is to cause men pain and sorrow by robbing them their valuables, their hard earned money, kill and destroy life and property. Thief has nothing good towards the one he intends to steal from. In the above Scripture, Jesus likened the devil as a thief. He is the thief of all time. In the garden of Eden, he stole from the first man through subtlety. When he wants to destroy a child of God, he first steal his love, faith and then steal his/her heart finally. He deceive souls through adulterated doctrine and heresies. Deceivers of souls are murderers of souls. He steals your gold and give you rust iron.
But, Jesus came to give abundance of life, to restore back all that the devil has stole from us and also to destroy all the works of the enemy in our lives. 1 John 3:8. His purpose is to restore to you all that the cankerworm has eaten, all your wasted years. He has come to restore life and health to your dying soul, to rejuvenate your dry bones back to life. He has come to prosper, elevate, help and bless you. For Jesus to restore all the above, you must be willing to surrender to His lordship, you must leave the throne of your heart for Him to be enthrone.
