A Promise For You From Bible Promises: [11/06/16]

Topic: Ask According to His Will

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 1 John 5:14. Read: James 4:1-3

What is God’s will? The will of God is His desire and His desire is that, what is prevalent in heaven should also be on earth. Lk 22:42. Asking according to His will should be an utmost priority in our lives. We should always seek and allow God’s will to be done in everything we do. But because man is shortsighted and self-willed, he cannot see or allow God’s will to prevail over his own selfish will. God’s will supersedes man’s will. While self-will can be self-destructive, God’s will always ensures peace and expected end. Jer 29:11

To ask according to His will, you must align your self-will with His own for Him to help you weigh it. You must be ready to obey and let Him take the lead. You must be ready to abide by all His decisions no matter how inconvenient it may seem to you.

When we don’t ask according to His will, we ask amiss just as James put it. Pastor E. A. Adeboye told a story of how he was asking God for a house and God told him that, He was given him a city. God’s reply to him birth Redemption Camp today. There is what is called “Permissive will”. When God grants you Permissive will (because of your pestering), conditions are attached. Psalms  106:15 And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

* Ask not according to your will nor His Permissive will, but according to His will. God bless you.
