Sometimes ago, in a bible study meeting, my cell phone rang and I picked up the phone, it was my brother calling. I focused on the call and connected with my heart what he wanted to say, I perceived in my spirit that his wife has given birth, he wanted to pass the information. I smiled and picked up the call and said to him, congratulations. He was shocked and asked me, who told you? I said, I know within my spirit. The spirit. The Spirit of God dwells in our spirit, not in our minds. He passes information to our spirit man. Often we’ve thought our human spirit is the one talking to us, and many opportunities have gone by.
Anyone that keeps his spirit shut away and never listens to it becomes crippled in life. The person who listens to it is the man or woman who climbs to the top. Paul said, I perceive (not in his mind) that the voyage would be calamitous and it was so. The captain wouldn’t listen to him and they ended badly. So long you’re a child of God, you must listen to your heart always and subject it to God’s Word. Many people (including Christians) say sometimes, And my spirit told me not to do it or do it, I didn’t listen. Tomorrow, we shall look at how to train your spirit man.
