There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18. Read: 1 John 4:7-21
Pastor E. A Adeboye said, As a woman, any man that is not ready to die for you is not worth to be your husband. Such man has not prove his love for you. A man should be able to go extra mile to prove to a woman how much he loves her. This is because, We as a bride of Jesus Christ, He proved His love for us by surrendering His life on the Cross of Calgary for our lives. He died that we might live. Perfect love can be best express in the spirit not in the flesh because love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost. Rom. 5:5
The story of apostle Peter best described love in the flesh and spirit. Simon Peter loved Jesus wholeheartedly, he was always ready to go extra mile for Him. There was a time he told Jesus, I would die with you. Before the arrest of Jesus, his love for Jesus made him cut off the ear of the servant of the high priest, while other disciples ran for cover, Peter followed Jesus (though from afar). With all these, Jesus knew that Peter loved Him but, these were all done in flesh and it couldn’t stand the test of time because he denied Jesus three consecutive times. But in Acts 2, when the Holy Spirit fell on them, Peter was ready to die indeed for Jesus without fear. His love was made perfect by the Spirit of God.
