And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. 2 Kings 2:9. Read: 2 Kings 2:1-12
Everyone desires to rise above the average and the natural, but unfortunately many don’t get their desire because they can’t pay the required price. Every rising in life comes with a price tag. Whoever can pay the price is entitled to enter into the realm of the supernatural. All the goods in a supermarket are price tagged (i e., no negotiation), if you can afford it, you get it. In the same vein, in all endeavour of human rising, if you can pay the price, you can attain the height.
Elijah was about to be taken to heaven which his servant (Elisha) knew of. In spite of all the distractions, he followed his master through. Elijah asked Elisha, what do you want from me before I am taken away? Double portion of your spirit he replied. Elijah exclaimed, “Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so”. This means, what you’ve asked for seems impossible, yet, it’s possible if you can pay the price; if you can meet the conditions of it possibility, you will have it. Elisha paid the price and received the supernatural which made him master among other sons of the prophets who couldn’t pay. If you can pay the price for that rising, you will definitely be in charge of life affair.
* What you can’t pay for today you will suffer tomorrow. Pay today and play tomorrow.
