One of the most painful thing in life is when a loved one is lost to death. Men grieved over such death and wish the fellow to come back to life because they will missed such person. The truth is that, if Jesus tarry, we shall all died. To those who are saved, death is a transition to Eternal life; and to those who are not, death is a transition to eternal condemnation in Hell. Two things are important in a man’s life whether living or death:
1) The legacy You Build On Earth. You must asked yourself this question, if I die today, what would men speak about me? Would they be happy that I have gone with my evil deeds, or, would they sorrow and wanting me to return back to life to continue my good works? In the above reading, while heaven was rejoicing that a great soul has returned back home, the earth was sorrowing that a virtues woman, incomparable, a rear gene has departed and need to return to continue her good works. Which is why Peter prayed and God brought Dorcas back to life. Build your legacy on Jesus.
2) Where You Spend Eternity After You Depart This Sinful World. The life you live now will determine your next life whether in Heaven or Hell. Much more than your legacy on earth is your Eternal Home. Heaven was ready to received Dorcas saved the prayers of the Saints, on like the rich man in Luke 16:19-31. Be wise
