David Mark (PDP) has won the re-run election against challenger Daniel Onjeh (APC) and will return to the hallowed chamber to make laws for the Nigerian people.
The former senate president swept the February 20 Benue South Senatorial District re-run election, garnering 84, 192 votes to Onjeh’s 71, 621 votes.
A further breakdown showed that Mark won in five local government areas while Onjeh of the APC won in four.
It was a close race, but the umbrella understandably has the bragging rights over the broom in Benue at the moment.
