Memorise: “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” – Hebrews 12:14
Read: Psalms 24:3-5
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Bible In One Year: Isaiah 4-6, Galatians 3
MESSAGE:
Isaiah 6:3b says: “And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.”
The main attribute of God is holiness. There are 24 elders constantly worshiping God in heaven, and all that they say is “holy holy is our God” Revelation 4:10.
Every child must resemble his father. Any child that does not resemble his father is a bastard, I didn’t say it, the bible did (1 John 3:8 says whoever sins is of his father the devil). If you are a sinner, you are a child of the devil, but if you are holy, you are a child of God. Be honest with yourself, whose child are you?
It doesn’t matter what your answer to the question in the previous paragraph is, what really matters is: whose child will you be as from today? Your speech and actions must reflect that you are a child of God. At the end of time, everyone will be going to see their fathers. Our memory verse tells us that without holiness, no one can see God, in other words, holiness is your passport to seeing God and reigning with Him in eternity. Do you want to see God? Be holy.
Key Point:
If you want to go to heaven, be holy. If you want to go to hell, keep dinning
Hymn 7:
1 I am Thine 0 Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
Chorus:
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.
2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
3 Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!
4 There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.
