Didier Drogba may be set to leave MLS, as Montreal Impact, the striker’s current club, took to social media to indicate that they are in talks with Chelsea about the possibility of the Ivorian returning to Stamford Bridge.

During Chelsea’s match against Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, the 37-year-old Blues legend was spotted sitting next to owner Roman Abramovich and interim manager Guus Hiddink, with the Dutch boss later confirming his desire to see Drogba return to Chelsea.

It is so far unclear what role the Ivorian would take at the Premier League champions and the tweets from Montreal Impact’s official accounts indicate that the Canadian franchise is hoping that Drogba is destined to return for another MLS season.
