Thought For The Day: To follow the fashion of the world is to end where the world is ending – eternity in hell fire.
It is true that when we get to eternity, there will be too many surprises. Some ‘Christians’ will be surprised to be addressed by God as workers of iniquity.
People prepare to meet with the president of a nation or the governor of a state but many people are not prepared to meet God.
Now, here is a critical question everyone should answer as a guide to maintaining an upright living: What would you do if you have an invitation to meet the King of kings? Would you meet Him with a dress that exposes the cleavages of your chest or in your seductive trousers? Would you meet Him with a face painted with all manner of colours that make you almost look like a masquerade or with those outlandish makeups that have transformed everything about your look?
To follow the fashion of the world is to end where the world is ending – eternity in hell fire. You cannot join the children of the devil to publicize demonic fashion or activities and then expect to end in God’s kingdom in eternity.
Beloved, how would you appear if you were standing before God (The fearful God who threw Lucifer out of Heaven to hell and he could not find his way back)? What adjustment would you have to make before standing before God? Appear like that every day of your life and in everywhere because some day, you will suddenly appear before God, the judge of all mankind.
Remember this: To follow the fashion of the world is to end where the world is ending – eternity in hell fire.
Assignment (S):
1. Avoid the fashion of the world.
2. Assess your dressing; can you wear it comfortably if you were to appear before God?
3. Be involved in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through your decent appearance as much as through your utterance.
