A Promise For You From Bible Promises

Topic: Earthly Useful and Heavenly Useless. Pt Two [21/11/2016]

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day. Luke 16:19. Read: Lk 26:19-31

The best life one can ever desire to live is a life of impact, living a footprint on the sands of time for the next generation. And God is always set to give us such life to live. One of the ways He does that is to bless us and make us useful to humanity He created. God gives power to make wealth and He equally rejoicesy over our prosperity. He also wants us to spend our days in prosperity, and our years in pleasures. Job 36:11. But inasmuch as He desires such life for us, He doesn’t want us now to be earthly useful to humanity and become useless to Him in heaven.

In our Bible reading, the rich man lived his life in affluence and all kinds of pleasures. He lived an expensive lifestyle every day, he was earthly mindful and heavenly distracted. He abused the whole essence of why God empowered him to get wealth. At the end, he lost his soul in hell. Mind you, he did not go to hell because he was rich but because he was not saved by the blood of Jesus.

Meanwhile, the beggar (Lazarus) who the people might have commonized as earthly useless actually was heavenly useful. People might write you off because you are not financially buoyant, just make sure you are heavenly useful not to lose at both sides.

* No matter how useful you are on earth, if you are not saved, you will suffer eternally in hell.
