BIBLE PASSAGE: 1Thess.5.14-18
MEMORY VERSE: In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Attitudinize gratitude by pulling down the barriers
Three of these are,

  1. The gift of life (the mother of all gifts).
  2. The gift of free air (oxygen).
  3. The gift of talent to work with and many others.
However, the case is opposite, even among Christians and in the Church, this is because some barriers like the wall of Jericho, (Joshua 6:1-2) have been put up against you and your loved ones to rejoice. These walls must be pulled down through appreciation.

SUMMARY: Gratitude to God is a must if you want to walk with God.

LESSON OUTLINE
God’s Declaration is Informative to Satan and Man

  1. Satan did not create man nor was he the one that made man a living soul. Genesis 2:7.
  2. The devil is all out to destroy mab because he is not the owner of souls but a deceiver, killer and destroyer. John 10:10a; 1 Kings 3:16-27.
  3. God has given you the right to choose who you want to serve and consequently where your soul would spend it’s eternity. Joshua 24:15.

God has no pleasure in the death of a Sinner “Ezekiel 18:23”

  1. God is merciful and ready to forgive His prodigal children that are truly repentant. Ezekiel 18:27-28; Luke 15:7
  2. It pains God when souls are lost to hell without repentance from their sins. Ezekiel 18:23;32
  3. It pains Him more if they have not been privileged to hear the Gospel. Mark 13:10.
  4. He exercises long patience hoping that the sinner would repent and come back to Him. 2 Peter 3:9; Ezekiel 18:30.
  5. Although all souls are God’s but only those that do His will shall reign with Him in Paradise while the disobedient souls shall spend their eternity in hell with the Devil. Matthew 25:31-46.

SUMMARY: It is God’s ultimate desire that every soul He created come to repentance.

CONCLUSION: God is tour creator, serve Him with all your heart. He has the best plans for you in life. Jeremiah 29:11; John 10:10a; Philippians 2:12. Do not allow the devil through sin to destroy or cancel God’s plan in your life. Proverbs 11:21; Ezekiel 18:4 “……….. the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”

LESSON THREE (03)
TOPIC: JESUS, THE ONLY WAY
BIBLE PASSAGE: John 14:1-13
MEMORY VERSE: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

LESSON OUTLINE
There are usually many ways opened to men especially crossroads:
• The way of carnality where all that matters is satisfying the flesh.
• The way of neutrality/free thinker. Here their understanding is that doing good is enough to make heaven.
• The way of hell fire. Those taking it, know it, yet they want to deceive others into their camp.
• The way of idol worshipping with variety of foreign and traditional religion. All involving worshipping of lesser gods and lords.
• The Churches named after Satan that are now holding services and they have members.

But only one leads to your fulfillment and destiny:
• Jesus is the ONLY WAY, surrender to Him now. John 14:6
• You must seek His kingdom first. Matthew 6:33.
• You must obey His instructions. Proverbs 19:21
• You are assured of eternal and everlasting rest and joy. Rev. 3:21.

SUMMARY: Jesus is the Super Door. John 10:9. He is the GENUINE WAY; Jn 14:6. He is the door and way out of the situation you are in now. But He wants you to discard every other door, follow Him and He will make you fulfill your destiny. Seek ye first the Master door- JESUS CHRIST. Rev. 3:20; John 3:16; Matt. 11:28-30

CONCLUSION: The true meaning of Jesus’ statement “I am the Way……” in John 14:6 is that there is no other way, every other way is counterfeit. Acts 4:29; John 10:9. No matter what you face today, the way, answer and solution is in Jesus Christ. He is all in all, Colossians 1:15-19

LESSON FOUR (04)
TOPIC: GOD’S WORD WILL NOT RETURN TO HIM VOID.
BIBLE PASSAGE: Isaiah 55:8-11
MEMORY VERSE: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11.

LESSON OUTLINE
Some Bible verses that remind us that God fulfills His promises are Joshua 21:4; Joshua 23:14; 1 Kings 8:56; 2 Corinthians 1:20; Genesis 8:31; 1 John 2:25; Numbers 23:19; Romans 4:21; Haggai 2:5; Hebrews 10:36; James 1:12; 2 Peter 3:9; Proverbs 13:12; Jeremiah 1:12; Lamentations 2:17a; Ezekiel 12:28; Luke 1:38; Philippians 1:6; Galatians 6:9. His Words also:

  1. Nourishes our spiritual life (Heb. 5:12-14).
  2. Cleanses our heart (Romans 12:2; Ephesians).
  3. Guides us (Psalm 119:105).
  4. Strengthens and secures us (Luke 6:47-48).
  5. Give us spiritual fruitfulness and success (Psalm 1:1-3; Joshua 1:8).
  6. Gives us victory (2 Corinthians 2:11; Hebrews 4:12).
  7. Assures us of His protection over us (Psalm 91 and 121).

SUMMARY: Engage and exercise your authority over situation of Life by declaring God’s over challenges.

CONCLUSION: God’s word will never fail, but our unbelief is what prevents its fulfillment on our lives if God says He will give you something, hold Him by that promise until He fulfills it. Numbers 23:19 We have many examples in the Bible one of which was when God told Prophet Elijah clearly that He would send rain upon the earth (1 Kings 18:1). Elijah did not just fold his arms but went into serious prayer session to actualize God’s word (1 Kings 18:41-45).
Ensure you take the following steps:
a. Do everything to please God.
b. Worship Him with your whole heart.
c. Obey all His instructions.
d. Keep totally away from sin and
e. Also remind Him of His Word.
When you do all these, He will surely answer you.

LESSON FIVE (05)
TOPIC: THE POWER IN WORSHIP AND PRAISES
BIBLE PASSAGE: 2 Chronicles 20:1-4; 13-28
MEMORY VERSE: “And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.” 2 Chronicles 20:22

LESSON OUTLINE
When Can The Power Of Praise Come Down?
The power of praise and worship is released when:

  1. Your enemies rise against you.
  2. When those you trust conspire to destroy you.
  3. When there is fear and confusion in your family and business.
  4. When you have fastened and prayed and heard nothing.
  5. When the Holy Spirit announces to you to praise and worship God.
  6. When the battle is beyond your capacity, comprehension and understanding.
  7. When it is the Lord’s battle.

Three Steps to Victorious Praise and Worship
a. Set yourself apart and believe in God.
b. Believe in His prophets.
c. Follow the instructions to the letter.
Power is released when these three are kept and the battle can be said to be won. This was the case of Jehoshaphat’s story in 2 Chron. 20:13-30

SUMMARY: Praise and Worship is a tool to enforce victory. Praise God always.

CONCLUSION: There are some battles that require the release of the power of praise and worship to be won. In the scripture, these are usually the most difficult or fiercest battles. The power of praise and worship makes God to arise from His exalted throne. He inhabits the praise and then scatters the enemies as seen in our text today.

LESSON SIX (06)
TOPIC: PROVOKING GOD’S BLESSINGS
BIBLE PASSAGE: 1 Kings 3:3-14
MEMORY VERSE: And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself: 1 Kings 2:3

SUMMARY: God’s Blessing is priceless but it comes with a price

CONCLUSION: “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10:22. There are many ways that may accelerate or fast track God’s blessings. Complete obedience to the instructions of God is one of them. The very first miracle of Jesus at the Marriage at Cana of Galilee was largely because of the servants’ obedience to Jesus instructions. John 2:1-11.

LESSON SEVEN (07)
TOPIC: VENGEANCE IS MINE
BIBLE PASSAGE: Romans 12:17-21
MEMORY VERSE: “O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew Thyself.” – Psalm 94:1

LESSON OUTLINE
WHY YOU SHOULD ALLOW GOD TO AVENGE YOUR ENEMIES:

  1. Every hurt and its root is planned and devised by the devil.
  2. The human host used by the devil may be unaware until he/she has been used.
  3. God knows and understands the root of all evil devices.
  4. God’s action is to deal with the evil and to ultimately put them to shame.
  5. God’s action is complete, total and permanent.
  6. Human action is from the flesh, temporary and partial.
  7. God’s judgement is sometimes arranged to bless or to promote you.

SUMMARY: God’s Judgement can be trusted, never avenge your enemies.

CONCLUSION: Sometimes when you want to revenge, you receive more hurts or injury. So, why not leave the revenge to Him. God sees everything, but we see just a little. Let the One who sees everything take up total revenge against our enemies.
Do not act by yourself or through any other person or means. Let your God arise and let Him scatter His enemies (Psalm 68:1-3), because your enemies are God’s enemies. Exodus 23:22

BIBLE PASSAGE: John 11:1-15
MEMORY VERSE: “When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was”. – John 11:6

LESSON OUTLINE
WHY DOES GOD DELAY?

  1. He delays because His ways are not our ways: His ways are higher (Isaiah 55:89). Our viewpoint is limited, but God sees all things (Proverbs 3:5)
  2. He delays so that we can demonstrate our faith: Galatians 6:9 says “and let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” We should respond to His delay with faith and not with doubt. Also Hebrews 10:36 says “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.”
  3. He delays so that He can bless our waiting: Isaiah 30:18 says “And therefore will the LORD wait, that He may be gracious unto you, and therefore will He be exalted, that He may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for Him.”
  4. He delays so that He can be glorified in the end: John 11:4 says “When Jesus heard that, He said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby”.

SUMMARY: In the midst of the storm, in the midst of it all. Wait for Him, He can never be late

CONCLUSION: Do not be moved by the trials or pleasure of this world. Stand fast on God’s word. Do not think that the Lord is not with you just because the situation looks grim. Remember the stories of Abraham, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, as also of Mary and Martha. Keep your faith to the end.
