Topic: Enemies of Self Discovery
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 2 Timothy 4:7. Read: Proverbs 6:6-11
There are several enemies of self discovery, but we shall just look at three.
1) LAZINESS: God told the Israelite that He has given unto them the land of Canaan for their inheritance, but they need to fight. If He has given it to them, why then do they have to fight to claim it? This is to give you a clue that the earth is a battlefield, you need to fight for your freedom from evil. It takes a strong and determined man to fight not a lazy man. Whatsoever God has promised or showed you, there is a time to defend it in prayer and fasting because prayer is a hard work.
2) IMITATION: This is another enemy of a gift. Imitating others is killing your originality to conformed to photocopy. Don’t be another person but yourself.
3) IMPATIENT: The Bible says in Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. You need to be patient, don’t covet another man’s gift but appreciate them and focus on your own. You need to fight faithlessness, depression, discouragement distraction, fear and inaction to be able to manifest your gift maximally.
