Memorise: Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. – Mark 11:24

Bible Reading: Mark 11:23-24

  1. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
  2. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Bible Reading In One Year: Job 1-3; Acts 7:1-60

MESSAGE:

As a child of God, you have absolutely nothing to fear. The Bible says greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. However, as humans, some circumstances will confront us and cause us to fear. But you have to know that a Christian can’t live a victorious life without faith. As a matter of fact, the entire tenets of Christianity is built on faith. Hence, whenever fear comes, you have to immediately replace it with faith.

One major way to do that is to confess Gods great promises to you from the Bible. The more of God’s word you say out loud to yourself, the more faith you will have. Another thing you can do is to pray even in the face of fear. Prayer is capable of great transformation. It changes people, it turns negative circumstances around and it is also capable of turning fear into faith. Is the next big examination you are preparing for causing you to fear? Raise your voice and pray about it. Then remind yourself of God’s word that says you will be the head and not the tail. Is a situation at home causing you to fear? Raise your voice and pray about it. Then remind yourself that the word of God says when you ask, you will receive.

Key Point:

Accommodating fear will always make the problem worse. Faith will however, move mountains.

Hymn: My Faith Looks Up To Thee

  1. My faith looks up to Thee,
    Thou Lamb of Calvary,
    Saviour divine!
    Now hear me while I pray,
    Take all my guilt away;
    O let me from this day
    Be wholly Thine.
  2. May Thy rich grace impart
    Strength to my fainting heart,
    My zeal inspire;
    As Thou hast died for me,
    O may my love to Thee
    Pure, warm, and changeless be,
    A living fire.
  3. While life’s dark maze | tread,
    And griefs around me spread,
    Be Thou my guide;
    Bid darkness turn to day,
    Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
    Nor let me ever stray
    From Thee aside.
  4. When ends life’s transient dream,
    When death’s cold, sullen stream
    Shall o’er me roll, Blest Saviour, then in love,
    Fear and distrust remove;
    O bear me safe above,
    A ransomed soul.
