A Promise For You From Bible Promises: [24/07/2016]

Topic: Gentleness, Not Weakness But Strength. Pt One

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4. Read: 1 John 4:4-6

Sometimes ago, one of my supervisors said to me (simply because I gave him a space while he was discussing with his colleagues) that I am too gentle. As he said so, I smiled and said within me, You don’t know I have a lion living inside of me as a child of God Almighty; If not you wouldn’t have said so. The above scripture said, since I am of God, the Greater than the world (Jesus Christ) lives inside of me. Who is Jesus Christ then? The Bible calls Him the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, (Rev 5:5). If He lives in me, then, I am a lion too because “Like begets like”. Chicken gives birth to chick, if my Father is a lion, I should not be a chick but a lion because I share in His nature and DNA respectively. If I am born of a Spirit as the Bible said, I am also a spirit. John 3:5-6, 4:23-24. Don’t contradict that, just know who you are in Christ Jesus and walk in that knowledge to experience true freedom and joy unspeakable.

The gentleness of a lion must not be mistaken for weakness, simply because you play with the lion’s tale while sleeping doesn’t mean it can not roar, no, but because lion doesn’t roar without a prey and when the lion roars, who shall not fear? Amos 3:4. Is being gentle a sin or weakness? Of course no, gentleness is the fourth fruit of the Spirit. Gal 5:22. This means that, you have the Spirit of God in you as His child. God always takes up the battles of the gentle and fights for them. By God’s grace, we shall see more of this tomorrow.

* Gentleness helps you to avoid troubles. #GraciousSunday
