A Promise For You From Bible Promises: [25/07/2016]

Topic: Gentleness, not weakness but strength. Pt two

(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) Numbers 12:3. Read: Num. 12:1-4

Have you ever heard some Children of God say (probably because they were annoyed or offended by someone), “Forget that I am a Christian, I will beat you. Or don’t think I am a Christian and you should be insulting me, I will beat you and ask God for forgiveness later”. Oh yes, I have seen that happened right before my very eyes at a camp meeting. Such Christians never thought to themselves, what if the trumpet sounds, what would be my fate? The Bible says in 2 Tim 2:24 “And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness”. There’re battles you need not to fight over, rather, you allow God to do the fighting for you through your gentleness. Jesus never fought for Himself and His accusers, but prayed for them. His gentleness did not stop Him from accomplishing His mission but facilitated it. Gentleness is also a weapon of warfare.

As a child of God, not everything you rant about, but must learn to commit everything into God’s hands knowing that the battle is not yours but God’s. Gentleness is synonymous to meekness. Meekness helps you to focus on God and to avoid distraction. Moses was busy doing God’s work while his brother and sister were angry at him, and God heard them and exposed them and punished them for their error. Two hundred and fifty princes came against Moses, before Moses could finish speaking, God split the ground open and the ground swallowed them. Numbers 16.

* May God fight all your battles on  your behalf in Jesus Name. #BlessedDayatWorkToday
