God Designed Your Home for Success [Part 4]
Dear Reader,
You are welcome into God’s awesome presence! I have shared with you God’s blueprint for a successful home, your perspective and expectations.
This week, I will be teaching you the foundation for a successful home.
God is the Foundation for success in life, marriage inclusive. Success in the home is the foundation for an all-round success. Any man who succeeds as the head of his family, is sure to succeed in anything else in life. No matter what level of success a man or woman attains in life, if it is not accompanied by an undeniable family success, such success or accomplishment will be unsustainable.
God is the Foundation for success in the home. But when the foundation is faulty, no matter how righteous you may be, your home cannot stand. The Word of God says: If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3). The right place to begin from, is personal relationship with God, through Jesus Christ. So, marital success depends on the place you give to God and His Word in your home. The more of Him you have, the more of peace, joy, happiness and sweetness you enjoy in your home.
Therefore, to enjoy God’s best in your marriage and home, you must make Him the centre of your home. You must be ready to give Him priority place, recognizing Him as the Foundation for a successful marriage and home. The problem with many couples is that they push God aside, and yet expect to enjoy divine benefits. They ignore the Word of God, which I call the “manufacturer’s manual”, and expect the product (marriage) to function perfectly. But it is impossible!
The family can be likened to a highly valuable product. Just as every product requires the necessary raw materials before it can be produced and function excellently, so also the home cannot function successfully until the relevant raw materials are fully processed.
Joshua 1:8 shows us the factory from where all the raw materials for a successful home can be obtained: This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. “This book of the law “ or the Word of God is the factory for a successful home. It is full of principles which, when processed and practised, are bound to deliver, not just success, but good success. A successful home is dependent on a total adherence to Biblical marriage principles.
The Word of God says: upholding all things by the word of his power (Hebrews 1:3). All things, including marriage are upheld by the Word of God. God is power, and He upholds all things, including your home, by His powerful Word. Once God’s Word is given its rightful place in your home, it is built on a sure foundation, which must stand.
If you want to avoid shame, study God’s Word. If you don’t want reproach to continually hang around you, study. The Word of God says: Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:25).
Fill your heart with the Word of truth. Let the Word of God be your guiding light. Open The Book and let every shame roll away. Enough of guess work, enough of trials and errors! Invest in anointed books of proven men of God, whose lives and testimonies are real; bow down and devour them. Saturate your spirit-man with the Word of God. Locate that which will make for your freedom.
God says, the only way out of shame is to study and apply yourself to the Word of truth. Are you having problems in any area of life? Sit down with your Bible and anointed books. Locate what the Word says concerning that issue. God has made available His Word to you, but you must be able to sit down and locate your place in it. The Word of God says: And I wept much, because no man was found to open and to read the book (Revelation 5:4). Until the Book is opened, weeping continues. Remember, God is not moved by your tears; He is moved by His Word. You cannot use your tear to harass God or bribe Him by weeping. You only gain access to His blessings, by the understanding and application of His Word.
Friend, it’s time to retrace Your steps. Our theme for this year says, “Exceeding Grace.” For you to experience God’s grace exceedingly in your life this year, you need to study the Word. The Word of God says: They looked to him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed (Psalm 34:5). Shame is not a thing of glory, it is a reproach. There is no testimony in shame; don’t allow it to hang around you any further. Delve into the Word of God today, and be free from every form of shame. Fix your eyes on the Word.
As you focus on the Word, keep meditating on what you have seen in the Word, apply it to your situation and circumstances, and let those Words form a pattern for your living. I see you enjoying more of God’s grace in an exceeding portion in Jesus’ name!
