2 Corinthians 8:9 – For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. (NIV)

From last week, we laid a foundation that God has made provisions for His children to enjoy provisions through grace. Some seek to know if God’s involvement is only limited to our spiritual lives. God is interested in our material blessings and financial blessings. All these are based on the finished work of Christ on the cross. Jesus paid for sins and its consequences when He died on the cross. With our knowledge of the scriptures, poverty is one of the consequences of sin.

Our provision is on the basis of grace. The key factor is the provision God makes is not on the platform of works, but grace. It is a gift. You access it through God’s help and power. Once you get off the frequency of grace, you are off your provisions. We have established that it is by faith that Christ did it for us. Hebrew 4: 3 established that when you function at this level of faith, you have rest. For a Christian, you provision is created in the spiritual. Your breakthroughs are created first in the realm of the spirit and translated into the physical reality for you. In Revelation 13: 8, Christ is described as the lamb that was laid from the foundation of the world. The work Christ did on the cross was finished from the foundation of the world. There is a rest to the people of God. If you will be accessing the fullness of God’s blessings, you have to get off the struggle channel and get on the rest channel. According to Hebrew 4: 10, anyone that has entered into God’s rest, which is the rest of faith, has ceased from his. The end purpose of rest is restoration and renewal.

In John 5: 19 – 20, Christ described to us that any miracle He did had been finished from the realm of the spirit. How do you bring your financial provisions into reality? Every believer is rich already in the realm of the spirit. You need to take action in the physical world for spiritual reality to produce your wealth. You have the responsibility to do something in the physical world here for the spiritual reality’s manifestation. Grace can be impotent. One can receive grace in vain. Grace can be there without producing results. 1 Corinthians 15: 10 established that grace changes your status. God told Abraham he is a father of many nations. In God’s record, every believer is rich. Despite God’s promise to Abraham and Sarah, they still had to meet as husband and wife for the promise to be fulfilled.

What does grace to in the life of a believer? It gives you the capacity to solve problems for people thereby adding values to their lives. Money is only a means of exchange of values. You get money when values are exchanged. Grace gives you capacity to add values to people.

In Luke 4: 18 -19, Christ solved problems for people. When you solve problems for the poor, values go out of you and values will return to you. Human nature likes to get something for nothing. The beginning of corruption is to want something without offering values in exchange. Grace or the anointing gives capacity to add value to people by solving problems.

Another one is Joseph. How did he get to the palace from the prison? Gen 41: 37 -40. Joseph added profound values to his boss. He made his way to the palace because he solved problems. The question today is at what level are you solving problems?
