MEMORY VERSE: “Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.” – Judges 16:22

7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;

9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

Samson was one of the great spiritual giants of the Bible. No wine nor strong drink ever entered into his mouth. He belonged to the most consecrated group, the Nazarites. He was strong. He once took the jawbone of a donkey and slew 1000 men. He was a great leader that ruled Israel as a judge for 20 years. However, he fell into sin. He lost his hair and his power. His mistake had a great consequence on his ministry. It was as if all was lost when the connection between him and his source of strength was cut off. When his hair was cut and his eyes plucked out, it appeared as though he was finished. The giant who destroyed thousands with the jaw of an ass became an object of mockery and entertainment to his enemies. The Philippines never knew that while Samson was going through all these, his hair began to grow.

TEXT REVIEW: Job 14:7-9

i. There is always hope in God.

ii. There is hope for you, as you are not an exception of grace of that grace.

iii. The depth of your fall has nothing to do with height in God of restoration He has for you.

iv. Connect back to your source which can never run dry.

v. Your rose can bloom again.

Luke 18:27 says “And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” And also in Mark 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth”.

  1. Get your hopes up, don’t give up hope. John 10:10
  2. Get your eyes off your present circumstances. The bigger you make of your God, the smaller you make of your problems. James 1:17.
  3. He is always available now to meet your needs. Matthew 28:20b
  4. His thoughts towards you are thoughts of peace. Jeremiah 29:11
  5. Put your hope in The Lord. Jeremiah 17:7-8

All hopes in God can never be lost.

Whatever the case my be, all hope is not lost. Samson’s hair began to grow again. Your hair can grow again. Your anointing and spiritual gifts can be restored and rekindled again. You will be able to pray and fast again and avoid all forms of sinful associations. Don’t loose hope, keep your focus on the Author and the Finisher of our faith, He will surely do it.

Give examples of hopeless situation in the Bible and how God turned their situations around.

  1. Lord, have mercy on me and give me a second chance like You gave to Samson to recover his hair, power and strength.
  2. In the name of Jesus, I shall never be an object of mockery and ridicule.
  3. Father, restore everything the enemies have taken away from me, in Jesus name.
  4. Pray for rapid growth of RCCG physically, spiritually and numerically.
  5. Pray for Daddy G.O. and his family.
  6. Personal prayer request.
