Topic: He ascended leaving us with Hope
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. – John 14:18
Prior before His ascension into heaven, Jesus talked with His disciples (knowing full well the wickedness, pain, suffering, discouragement, frustration and disappointment in this world) about His returning to them. Jesus knew without His presence with them, the world will swap them away. A life without Christ is full of crisis. Jesus was telling them about His returning in form of Holy Spirit to comfort them. In verse 17, Jesus said, Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but YE KNOW HIM; FOR HE DWELLETH WITH YOU, AND SHALL BE IN YOU. Hallelujah!!!
Jesus left the earth with great hope to return to us, comfort us before He will finally come and take us to heaven. Beloved, keep hope alive because Jesus lives forever more, you need not to fear anything in this passing world, He is your hope of glory. He left us with hope and gifts to dominate the earth which is why He said, occupy til I come.
* His ascension brought down the comforter – the Holy Spirit. Rejoice.
