Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? Luke 24:25-26. Read: Lk 24:13-22

He came to the earth just to rescue the human race from impending judgment awaiting all unrepentant sinners because the Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. Rom 6:23. Death here means, eternal separation from God spiritually. But, God still loves us, sent Jesus to the earth to suffer many things from those He came to rescue and finally be nailed to the cross. Without the death of Jesus on the cross, there is no repentance from sin. But Jesus is no longer on the cross neither is He still in the tomb, He is risen and has entered into His glory promised Him by His Father. Jn 8:21

Jesus has ascended into His glory, but the cross is still relevant today. No man can cross to God except first going through the cross to obtain forgiveness of sin before he can have access to the throne of God’s grace. Heb 4:16. At the feet of the cross lies the cleansing and pardon for sins, there lies our victory. There the Son of God defeated the devil through His precious blood that saved us from our sins. 1 Pet 1:19. The cross of Jesus leads us to God, it acts like the bridge. There all your burdens are taken care of. If you have not passed through the cross of Christ, you must do that now to secure for yourself the glorious eternal home.

* Father, as I pass through the cross, forgive my sins and take care of all my burdens in Jesus Mighty Name
