HEALTH BENEFITS OF FRUIT SALAD
[Cleanses the bowel system and rejuvenates the body]
Christmas season may not been the best time for losing weight or controlling calorie intake as many homes prepared tempting recipes that are full of calories and fat enriched dishes that could be difficult to resist. Nevertheless here is a recipe for those that want to cleanse the bowel system from unhealthy diets that were consumed during the period. Today’s recipe is simply fruit salad.
This salad is made from combinations of various types of raw fruits like apple, grape, pawpaw, orange, tangerine and watermelon. Fruits are nature’s wonderful gifts to mankind. They are life-enhancing medicines packed with vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E, potassium folate (folic acid), iron, dietary fibre, antioxidants, phytochemicals (non-nutritive plant chemicals) which promote good health, cleanse the bowel, detoxify harmful substances in the body and make one look younger.
Studies have shown that intake of fruits helps to rejuvenate the body system, cleanse the bowel, boost the immune system to fight against diseases and maintain general wellbeing.
Also, consuming fruits in form of fruit salad helps to prevent diseases like heart attack, clogged artery (arteriosclerosis), obesity (excess fat in the body), cancer, constipation (difficulty and passing out of hard faeces) and premature aging.

Pawpaw 1 small size
Apples 2 medium size
Orange 1 medium size
Tangerine 3 medium size
Method of preparation
Squeeze the orange and reserve the juice.
Peel and chop the pawpaw, watermelon into various shapes.
Peel and separate the tangerine into segment.
Wash and clean the remaining fruit.
Place the chopped fruits in a deep serving bowl.
Add the orange juice.
Refrigerate for some minutes.
Serve cold and enjoy.
