ANCHORED SCRIPTURES: DEUTERONOMY 28:23-24; EPHESIANS 6:12, 3:10

The MESSAGE:

From the three passages we have read, there are some clear messages which you must try and understand. This has gone beyond personal deliverance now. It is above that. These passages bring out some salient points:

For your life to prosper, the heavens must be involved. That is why the Bible says “A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from above”. Whatever is not given to a man from above will eventually swallow him and kill him. You got a wife that is not from above? That wife will kill you. You got a husband not from above? That husband will kill you. You acquired money not from above? That money will eventually kill you. You got a position not from above? That position will eventually kill you.

A destiny remains stagnant until a connection is made between heaven and earth. That is how God has made it. Before the life of Jacob began to prosper, a connection had to be made between heaven and earth. The heavens opened, the angels were going up and down in it, and from that day, his life began to prosper. There are three heavens:

There is the heavens you can see where aeroplanes, rockets, missiles fly in and out. That is the first heaven and everyone can see it.
There is a second heaven above that one. That place is the headquarters of darkness. When the Bible says “spiritual wickedness in high places”, this is where it is talking about.
There is a third heaven where God took Paul to paradise. The Bible talks about heaven of heavens. The heaven above us is the headquarters of darkness. The heaven above us is the battlefield for spiritual warfare. This is a strange situation. In many lives, dark powers have made the heavens to become brass. Each person on earth is to make connection with heaven. The dark powers in the heavenlies also understand that without you making that connection, you are not going anywhere. So they try to make it brass, so that that heaven can close. This is a very serious matter.
Each man has an heaven over his head. You have an airspace allocated to you above. There are personal heavens. There is family heavens. There is ministerial heaven. There is territorial heaven. There is national heaven. It may be opened or closed.

I am praying from my heart for any family here today whose heavens over the family has closed, and because of that, everyone in the family is going through what we call “collective captivity”, I command that heaven to open over your head, in the name of Jesus!

Each man has an heaven over his head. That heaven contains your rain of blessing. The rain is there, you just need to break the clouds and make it fall upon your head.

That songwriter says “There shall be showers of blessing
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Saviour above.”
There are dews around us, so it is for the showers we are praying.

I pray for anyone around here, that the enemy has converted your rain to dew, repossess your rain now, in the name of Jesus.

We all have personal heavens, which is why the Bible says “Thy heaven which is over thy head”. That heaven covers and controls your life. Powers of darkness can decide to operate in your own personal heaven. Brassy forces can thicken that heaven over a person’s head. Whether you believe it or not, whether it is scientific in your ears or not, there is a highly structured, highly organised demonic level at various levels of authority with headquarters in the heavenlies above our heads, containing rebellious and falling spirits.

Sometimes they come down and mix with men. The principalities in a person’s heavens could be contesting your prayers. Anytime you want to pray, there is a force. Those are the brassy forces in the azure above. Wickedness can be programmed against a person in that heavenlies. But the beautiful thing is that your prayers can shake the wickedness off. When the heavens are brass, demons will overcome the person with ease because it is already brassy. But God does not want us like this. What God wants us to have is what is called “open heavens”.

When there is open heavens beloveth, God localises his presence over a particular individual, church, city, nation, a business.

When there is open heavens or when the heavens are opened:

Heaven touches the earth by pouring out blessings and power.
A person receives an unhindered experience of heaven on earth.
There will be unhindered manifestation of the grace, glory and power of God.
There will be suspension of natural laws to enable the heavens connect the earth.
There will be occurrence of signs, wonders, miracles, healings, testimonies.
There will be unusual manifestation of the power of God.
Strange miracles that will shock people begin to take place.
It will be a time of divine visitation.
It will be a time of angelic visitation, powerful dreams, promoting dreams, and positive prophecies.
There will be occurrence of open divine communication.
It will be a divine turning point in the history of your life.
You will have continuous success and favour. It is not that you will get money now and it is until it is dried up, that another comes.
You have this liberty and freedom in prayer.

That is why I am praying for somebody here today that God shall tear the heavens open for your sake, in the name of Jesus.

But then, when the heavens are brass:

Nothing will go smoothly.
The enemy will be mocking your prayers.
The person will plant much but reap very little.
The whole of life becomes a struggle.
There will be profitless hardwork. So one of the greatest things to happen to a man is to have an open heaven. And one of the most terrible things to happen to a man is for his heavens to become brass, for the earth to become iron and for the rain to become powder and dust.
There will be scarcity of testimonies.
There will be lack of divine visions, no divine dreams, no revelation.
There will be chain problems. As one problem is going, another is coming. The person will just be in one problem or the other every time.
There will be unexplainable hardship.
There will be confusion.
There will be attack on your prayer life, attack when you try to live a holy life.
Where others get light, you get darkness, where others get respect, you get insolence.
Where others get cooperation, you find contention, where others find honour, you begin to find contempt.
Where others are getting praised, you will get criticism, where others are getting peace, you will have war, simply because the heavens are brass.
Where others have liberty, the person will experience slavery and bondage and then the person begins to speak the language of brassy heavens. “I have prayed, I have fasted, yet nothing has happened.” “I have been prayed for by the best ministers to no avail”. “I am fed up. I do not think God can do it. I am frustrated. I will stop coming to church”. “Lord, what is my sin? Why are you doing this to me?” All these are the languages of brassy heavens.

So as many people as are concerned here this morning about your life, progress, calling, destiny, the first thing to check is whether your heavens are closed or not. If it is not opened,

The whole of life will become a struggle.
You will need more labourers to do a little work.
Problems remain the same after multiple deliverance.
The person will be labouring on hard ground.
The person sweats so much but achieves very little.
The person will notice that there are devourers around released to his labour.
The person prays and prays but no fresh fire.
His prayers become ordinary noise.
His mind always wanders during prayers.
The Bible reading becomes a routine.
Quiet time becomes a religion.
The person does not get any benefit from Bible study. These are all signs that the heavens are brass.
Unbelievers start tossing the person around.
He or she finds it very easy to coexist with darkness.
The person does not have the joy of the Lord as his strength. Such a person needs to look deeply into the heavens over his head.

This is why we are here this morning, to attack this kind of situation.

I pray that today, whatsoever is making the heavens to become brass, will be shaken off, in the name of Jesus.

There are ten major things that make the heavens to become brass.

Sin. Any sin in your life will close the heavens.
Prayerlessness. This will block the heavens.
Pride. God hates pride with perfect hatred.
Bloodshed. Shedding of blood, abortion and things like that. It does not matter whether you have done that years ago; the blood may still be crying against you now.
Falsehood. Anytime you build your life on a lie, you are closing heavens over your head. Anytime what you are doing is all a lie, you close the heavens over your head.
Failure in tithes and offerings will close the heavens over your head. Remember God said “bring all the tithes into my storehouse so that he will open to you the windows and doors of heavens.” When you fail in tithes and offerings, God will deliberately lock up the heavens over your head.
Idolatry. Any form of idol worship closes the heavens against you. It makes heavens to become brass.
Territorial spirits. The influence of territorial spirits, local strongholds, territorial strongholds. They make heavens to become brass.
Satanic intermediaries. When you have satanic intermediaries working with you, living close to you or in your environment. That is why you cannot take a child of the devil and make him your business partner because he will cause trouble for you.
Satanic altars: Whether a deformed or an active altar, they close the door against a person.

WHAT TO DO!

Genuine repentance and restitution.
God wants deliberate and sincere humility.
God wants you to break all family altars and ancestral altars. Gideon was not going to get far until he had dealt with the altars of his father’s house.
You need to get involved in ceaseless, fervent and desperate prayers. You have to pray until the rain begins to drop. You have to pray until something happens. The church continued to pray until they heard Peter knocking on the door. Hannah continued to pray until she had the promise. Paul and Silas continued to pray until they heard the shaking of the prison. Daniel prayed until he felt the touch of God upon his life.

Do you want to get to the top? Then pray until something happens. Do not get up until God answers. Never accept the present position as final. And those are the kind of prayers we are here to pray this morning.

= I see people here this morning who will begin to experience a new lease of life, immediately their heavens begin to open up, in the name of Jesus.

A lot of people do not understand these principles of open heavens. Sometimes we attack what we should not be attacking, we worry when we should not worry. Once God opens the heavens over a man or woman, then you are mightily blessed beloveth, because that open heavens beloveth will be an entrance into your divine destiny. Favour will now begin to descend. Your wares will begin to sell. Your enemies will begin to bow and you will begin to serve obituaries to your Goliath, when your heavens are opened.

Rebellious children begin to get born again, you begin to have storehouses of the Lord, people will bring gifts to you and you will be promoted, no one will be able to hurt you, when your heavens are opened. But when your heavens become brass through sin or any of these things that we have mentioned, then we need to take some actions.

PRAYER POINTS

O heavens over my career, open! in the name of Jesus!
Principalities of my father’s house in my heavens, die in the name of Jesus!
Evil power in the heavenlies, attacking my joy, die in the name of Jesus!
