“Let my heart be broken with the things that break the heart of God”. Dr Bob Pierce. Until we’re mature enough to know that God has a need, we might not know how to respond to Him. Many only know how to bombard Him with requests upon requests, their prayers is always give me, give me. They’ve never for once asked themselves, does God have a need. Their relationship with God is parasitic in nature, they receive but don’t give out and they’re never tired of asking for more.

Does God have a need, you ask? Yes, He does. If He doesn’t, He won’t have answered Paul when he asked Him, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. God has one assignment for you to do for Him and until you discover it by asking Him (like Paul did), you may not know what His desires are. One of the reasons God sowed Jesus into the earth to die is to reap souls, reconcile the lost world back to Himself through us. John Knox said in his prayer, Lord, give me souls or I die”. Another way to meet the needs of God is to seek Him and His Kingdom first and do His will. Then God can begin to show us more of His desires. Beloved, you must deliberately and consciously allow what bothers God bother you, make His desires your desire.
