Topic: Humble Yourself To Be Corrected [09/03/2017]
Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. Proverbs 15:10. Read: 2 Chro 26:5-16
It takes humility to be corrected. When a man is not humble, to be corrected in any thing would be very difficult. The arrogant always believe that they are always correct, even when they know they make a mistake, their pride would never allow them to admit; he or she would fashion way out to justify himself. It’s very difficult for them to say, I am sorrow. You hard hear the word sorry in their words. Who are you? What do you know? These are usually words from an arrogant person, they believe they know it all.
Most of those people that are arrogant today started their lives in a very humble beginning, but when God has blessed them, their hearts lifted up to their destruction. Haughty spirit leads to destruction. Saul was very humble before he became king, but after he became king, arrogant spirit entered his life and began to disobeyed God. Uzziah was a man helped by God, he became a king at age Sixteenth, but when he became strong, pride entered his life, he died a leprous man.
